Positive affirmations
Positive Affirmations, in short, are a brain training statement.
They can be used to shift your focus to one that better serves you. Acting as a pattern-interrupter or an anchor thought. (More info on these in the video!).
When we think the same thought again and again and again, it forms a pathway in our brain.
If this thought or belief is negative, it can lead you to feeling detached from your confidence, low in energy, missing out on opportunities and manifesting more frustration.
If this repeated thought is positive, it can lead you to feel empowered, confident and strong; and your actions and behaviours are more likely to be in alignment with what you aspire to be like.
I’ve made a pdf doc of some Positive Affirmations that you can download, print out, and use for yourself.
I also encourage you to try make some of your own. If you’re up for this, all you gotta do is follow these 3 simple rules:
Rule #1: They must be written in present tense. As if the statement is a true fact right now.
For example:
“I will be confident” - nada. This is in the future, so no good.
“I am confident” - yay!Rule #2: There should be no negative words in there like, ‘shouldn’t’, ‘couldn’t’, ‘not’, ‘can’t’...
For example:
“I am not stressed” - nada.
“I feel relaxed and calm” - yay!Rule #3: Always in the first person, so ‘me’, ‘I’, ‘my’, ‘our’.
For example:
“You’re absolutely capable of this” - nada.
“I am absolutely capable of this” - yay!
Positive Affirmations and Mantras have genuinely played such a big role in changing my life for the better. I have stuck them up around the house, had them on my bedside, repeat them when I wake up and before I go to sleep. I use them for all different areas of my life from money mindset to preparing for a positive birth. I’ve been using them for about 5+ years now and plan on continuing to do so for the rest of my life.
This is why I talk about them, share them, and believe in them so much!
I really hope, with all my heart, they make a big, positive impact for you too!
