Bend Don’t Break with becky 14-day flexibility challenge
Do you have flexibility as a goal right now?
It is something I am focusing on and I have been stretching every day. Whilst I have been doing my stretches, I am getting lonely - so wondered if you wanted to join me?! :p
For this 14-Day Flexibility Challenge I’ll be doing a live stretching session EVERYDAY on my socials (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) and I would love to invite anyone who is also working on their flexibility to join in too and follow along with the strengthening and stretching exercises.
You can do this challenge on consecutive days or dip in and out to fit it around your life!
We'll cover flexibility for:
forward facing splits (left leg forward then right leg forward)
middle splits and all things hip-open-y
shoulder openers
backbends
We balance strengthening and stretching to help improve your active flexibility - not just letting gravity do the work! This means it may feel more challenging on your body than a regular stretch class. Think of it like you would a workout - give yourself time for rest and recovery at any time if you need.
I use a variety of Flexibility Techniques - some I've learnt through Flexibility and Contortion training and some anecdotal (my personal flexibility training journey spans from pole dance, ballet, yoga, gymnastics, aerial circus and contortion).
My best bit of advice for your upcoming Flexibility Journey is: Always listen to your body. Your body knows best! And keep hydrated - thirsty bodies don't stretch so good!
